What this site measures
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read, so the organizers know whether the site is doing its job. It records things like the page you are on, roughly where in the world you are, the kind of device you are using, and whether you arrived from Instagram, a search, or a link somebody sent you.
It also records when somebody taps through to the ticket page, as a count. Not who, just how many.
To do that it stores a cookie in your browser, which is how it tells a returning visitor from a new one. Your IP address is handled by Google and not stored by us. We never see your name, your email or your card, because nothing on this site asks for them.
Google's own policy covers what they do with it, and they treat it as their data as well as ours. If you would rather not be counted, a browser in private mode, an ad blocker, or Google's own opt-out add-on all stop it, and nothing on the site breaks if you do.
There are no advertising tags, nothing is sold or shared with advertisers, and there are no forms on this site, so there is nothing to submit.
This website collects nothing
There are no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags and no forms on this site. Nothing is stored in your browser, nothing is sent anywhere, and no account or profile is created for you. You can read every page here without leaving a trace with us.
The site is a set of static files. It is hosted by Netlify, which like every web host keeps standard server logs of requests, including IP addresses, for security and reliability. We do not read those logs, build anything from them, or connect them to anybody.
Buying a ticket takes you somewhere else
Tickets are not sold on this site. The Get tickets button opens Universe, a separate company, and everything to do with your purchase happens there and not here. We never see your card, and no payment information passes through this website at any point.
At checkout, Universe collects what a ticket sale needs: your contact and billing details, payment information, and a record of the order. For buyers in North America the data controller is Universe Experiences Inc., which is a Ticketmaster company within the Live Nation Entertainment group. Their policy is the one that governs your purchase, so it is worth reading before you buy.
Universe privacy policy Universe terms
The organizers receive your details from Universe
Universe passes buyer information to the people running the event, which it calls the Seller. That is how a name gets onto the gate list and how you get told if something about the festival changes. For this event the Seller is the organizing team behind Volant Equinox Campout, and they use those details to run the festival and to contact ticket holders. They are responsible for what they do with that information.
Links that leave this site
Some links here open other companies' websites, and once you follow one you are covered by that company's policy rather than this one. The links are: the ticket page on Universe, the festival's Instagram profile, a maps link for the venue address which opens Google Maps, and in the footer, the festival's sponsor Sick Horse and the studio that built this site, Service Vault.
Refunds
The refund terms shown to you at checkout are the ones that apply to your order, and they are set on the ticket page rather than here. The festival's stated position is on the FAQ.
Getting in touch
For anything about your ticket, your order, or your details, contact the organizers at the festival email address, or use Contact Host on the Universe ticket page. For anything held by Universe itself, their privacy policy above explains how to reach them.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify, because there is no mailing list.
